2TI 3:1-9

Evil in the Last Days

1Know this: in the last days grievous times will come. [3:2] For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful arrogant braggarts, malicious accusers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, [3:3] without natural affection, irreconcilable, without self-control, fierce, haters of good, [3:4] traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [3:5] holding a form of godliness but having denied its power — from these turn away. [3:6] For from among these are those who slip into households and capture weak-willed women loaded down with sins, led by various passions, [3:7] always learning and never able to come to a full knowledge of the truth. [3:8] In the same way that Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth — men corrupted in mind, disqualified concerning the faith. [3:9] But they will not advance further, for their folly will be plain to all, as it was with those men also.
