We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying for you,
having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love that you have for all the saints,
because of the hope laid up for you in the heavens — which you heard of before in the word of truth, the gospel
that has come to you, just as in all the world it is bearing fruit and growing, so also among you, from the day you heard it and fully knew the grace of God in truth,
just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on your behalf,
the one who also made known to us your love in the Spirit.
For this reason we also, from the day we heard it, have not ceased praying for you and asking that you be filled with the full knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
so that you may walk worthily of the Lord, pleasing him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the full knowledge of God,
being empowered with all power according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,
giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love,
in whom we have the redemption — the forgiveness of sins.
