Now as he drew near to Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting beside the road, begging.
And hearing a crowd passing through, he was inquiring what this might be.
And they reported to him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
And he cried out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
And those going ahead were rebuking him to be silent; but he was crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
And Jesus, having stopped, commanded him to be brought to him. And when he drew near, he questioned him,
"What do you want me to do for you?" And he said, "Lord, that I may regain my sight."
And Jesus said to him, "Regain your sight; your faith has made you whole."
And immediately he regained his sight and was following him, glorifying God; and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
