To the messenger of the assembly in Sardis write: These things says the one holding the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: 'Your works are known to me — that you hold the reputation of being alive, yet you are dead.
Be watchful and strengthen what remains, which was about to die, for I have not found your works brought to full measure before my God.
Remember then what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. If you will not be watchful, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you.
Yet you have a few individuals in Sardis who have not defiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.
The one who conquers will be clothed in white garments, and I will not erase his name from the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
Let the one who has an ear hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.'
